Jonathan Berney is the Managing Partner of AIC, a global investment and management advisory platform for AI, data centres and digital infrastructure. With over 35 years of experience in the IT and infrastructure construction sector, Jonathan has a reputation for successfully scaling businesses, often in complex and challenging circumstances.
AIC is currently partnering with Aker Group and Nordkraft in Norway to create Aaktik Digital, a multi-site DC and AI Factory development and operating business in the Narvik region in the Arctic Circle with abundant renewable power. AIC has also been working on large scale platform deals in the UK & Ireland, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Latin America, including a partnership with Romanian operator ClusterPower to co-develop a new 800MW AI data center region in southwestern Romania.
Jonathan is also Co-Founder and largest individual shareholder of Chayora Holdings, an international infrastructure investor, developer and operator of data centre campuses in China. Prior to Chayora he was Regional Managing Partner of EC Harris (now Arcadis) in Asia, the CEO of C-construction.com (a Cap Gemini owned online platform), and a Senior Advisor to Marubeni Corporation in Japan.
