Maris Sekar, P.Eng., MBA, PDS, is Founder & CEO of DC Intel, a marketplace connecting organizations with verified data centre experts across operations, audit, and compliance. With 20+ years in regulated industries, he specializes in data centre operations, risk, and governance, focusing on applying AI and advanced analytics to enhance audit effectiveness and operational oversight. A former PwC consultant and CISA auditor, Maris has led data centre security audits, SOC 2 readiness and Type I & II engagements, and third-party risk assessments, including ICS/SCADA audits supporting critical infrastructure. His recent work includes leveraging AI to improve audit workflows, risk detection, and control validation, enabling more scalable and data-driven assurance in complex environments. He is the author of Machine Learning for Auditors, has published IEEE research on applied analytics, and is a frequent speaker with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
